Katsuhito Jinnai

"I loath you, Makoto Mitzuhara!  You're nothing!  Less than nothing, yet you get in the way of my superiority!  Not now, not this time, I'll show you... Things will be alot different with you out of the picture.  AHH HAhAHAHAhA!!!!"

If Makoto is the protagonist of the El-Hazard series, then Katsuhito Jinnai, or just Jinnai, is the antagonist, or the force that is against Makoto.  Jinnai is accused of using school funds illegally to gain student votes onto the Student Council as president.  He has a loathing for Makoto because he has always been outdone by him at everything.   The night when he was transported to El-Hazard, he was planning a way to quiet Makoto until his trial is over.  Now, in El-Hazard, he uses his special ability, which is to understand and communicate to the Bugrom, to try and take over El-Hazard and to be rid of Makoto Mitzuhara.
